Kelsey Glasser

Kelsey was born in raised in Oregon's Willamette Valley. After graduating high school, she spent ten years in New York and Los Angeles, during which time she graduated from New York University, became a sommelier, worked in some incredible restaurants and learned the specifics of many roles in the hospitality industry. After working for José Andrés for four years at the Bazaar, she created and ran the wine program for LA hotspot EP/LP, where Zagat named her one of their '30 Under 30' restauranteurs to watch in 2015.

Seeking to create a unique experience in the wine world, she returned home to Portland and opened Thelonious Wines. The success of Thelonious led to the creation of Arden - celebrated as one of the top new restaurants in Portland. As owner, operator and wine director, she has gained a unique insight on the Portland food scene, as well as an understanding of the challenges facing both restaurant owners and employees. She is humbled and excited to bring her knowledge of the industry to the important work at Family Meal. When not opening bottles of wine, you can find her running, cuddling with her two cats, or acting in the occasional Shakespeare play.
